TRANSMISSION 23

JUNE 23, 2025

I went to a couple of shows this week. Saw Kim Dracula and Nine Inch Nails for the first time. Both incredible shows you can see more of on this week’s video. The day we bombed Iran I went to an after party for the dyke march. Felt right to be sweating on the dance floor amongst my community. Even if a woman I met moments after arriving there mistook me for an MTF. I’ve never met a femme egg that’s come to a lesbian focused event with a waxed mustache but I’m flattered in an awkward way only a mistake like that allows.

+++ Brown Shirt Bounty Hunters +++

Starting as early as 2016, it appears that despite laws prohibiting it, ICE and the department of homeland security have been hiring private contractors to assist in its kidnappings. A post I found on Reddit alleges that corrections officers (prison guards/probation officers) and private security groups like G4S have been contracted to help in the raids which would explain the brown shirted civilians in Amazon bullet proof vests and Nike sneakers terrorizing our communities. The thread cites lawsuits brought forth by the ACLU and suspicious job listings for “Dentition Officers.” I found commenters also alleging that local bounty hunters could be offered cash rewards for their participation based on a failed bill in Mississippi sending up a red flag of what may now be happening behind closed doors.

Regardless of who they are or how they became staffed by the DHS, I’ve seen a few videos of communities successfully scaring them back into their minivans. Maybe the knowledge that these are likely civilians who are untrained and sloppy can help empower more people to stand up against them. I hope more people make those wanna be cops piss themselves.

Me repeating over and over again that it’s imperative to tap into community is not just me suggesting you have more movie nights with your friends- although I think you should. I mean I think it’s a good idea to know at least one of your neighbors and have their number in case of an emergency. I mean I think it’s smart to take these acts of state violence as seriously as they feel in your body. Don’t panic - figure out how to engage.

When I lived in the South, I found myself in natural disaster zones several times. I remember finding a soggy Blockbuster card as I was ripping out moldy drywall near the shores of Mississippi with water lines above my head. I was on a team and we worked together tirelessly on someone’s house on the list of several we were helping to demo that week. I remember the free soda and snacks from people on the same block where myself and other teenagers climbed on roofs to nail down plastic tarps covering the holes Katrina ripped open. I remember standing on the shore of a landlocked subdivision waiting for a boat driven by a local fisherman to bring my friends out of their flooded neighborhood. There is a profound and grounded human love in that kind of community organization. The acute knowledge that the people around you, even strangers, are in danger and need help dissolves the lies white supremacy, classism, capitalism, racism and bigotry want you to believe are intrinsic to human existence. I truly believe we love each other underneath all this bullshit and those moments of communal solidarity are my proof.

A new enemy is at the wheel of this sinking war ship called the USA but people have survived the scurvy of its democracy for long enough to know ways to grow their own oranges. Ask them if you don’t know what to do next. Read history and learn how people survived times like this. That’s what I’m doing. I’m figuring out how to become more resilient and creative with my fear and anger even while being an ocean away in a country with its own political unrest.

Our country is in crisis and you are right to feel afraid, overwhelmed and paranoid about what to do next or how to help. That’s the goal of this type of reckless authoritarianism.

There are no easy solutions to complicated problems but we will find ways to survive together. It’s the only way we get through this alive.

+++ Holy Antimony +++

I was doom scrolling through a dissociative haze when I came across DeYonna’s (@deyawnuh) TikTok video [2]. It’s since gone viral and for good reason.

“War has always been on someone’s doorstep,” she said as her large locks bounced around her face. “It’s only just now happening to you.”

She’s a doula in Atlanta, GA and knows first hand that life, death and rebirth are cycles happening all around us on a daily basis - not signals of the end of the world. It’s our responsibility to figure out how to regulate through it and move forward.

Speaking of cycles, Justin Scott (@this.cypher), talks about the fallacy of major world powers believing there is more time. He sees, as many have but perhaps can’t articulate as well, the patterns of history repeating and the inevitable miscalculation all of them will make in their attempts to grab power. Social media and voices like Scott’s are screaming out in between sunscreen ads and top ten places to visit on your next vacation and the juxtaposition is enough to make anyone nauseous.

This time in history is fascinatingly horrifying. We are witnessing a convergence of both the utilization of technology as a means of further subjugation, in ways that feel both imminent and out of our collective control, while also utilizing that same technology to undermining the propaganda we are being sold as a way to compartmentalize it. We have been gazing through a 9:16 window into the worldwide instances of state violence. We can’t look away from the horror nor can we be swayed by AI videos of troops quoting the Bible being broadcast from the same device. We are not falling for it and that is the biggest threat to the powers that be. Technology doesn’t have to be a weapon only one side can use. Remember that.

America is now at war with Iran. A war that was started on false pretenses of nuclear disarmament and whose strikes were carried out unconstitutionally by a man with no working knowledge of the Middle East much less how to run his own country. All he knows is there is antimony in “them there hills” - 7000 tons of a metalloid perfectly suited for armor piercing bullets, solid state batteries and quantum computing. [4]

Until now, China has controlled 50% of its mining and 80% of its processing and in December of 2024 it cut off supply to the US.

Makes Donald’s tariffs and general hatred of China seem a little less out of left field when you understand a potential motivation. He is out to make money for himself and the men who put him in office so it’s wise to look at where the dollars are being exchanged. Iran has what he and his cronies need and he’s not asking permission to go in and take it - among, no doubt, many other misguided and selfish reasons to plunge our country into yet another war. I also saw reports, thanks to Alex Webb, that Iran successfully broke a blockade and sent aid trucks into Gaza at the beginning of the month which no doubt sparked retaliation from Isreal. Keep your eyes and ears open for the truth.

As always, thanks for reading. Talk to you next week.
